Shannon Knight is a stage 4 breast cancer survivor and former patient of
CMN Hospital. She is a certified health coach and cancer survivor advocate.
She has deep empathy and compassion for all cancer warriors. She understands
what an individual goes through once they learn of a cancer diagnosis,
and even a recurrence. She can relate to having to choose treatment and
how difficult it is deciding how to save your own life, especially if
your doctor has given you only so much time to live. She was told she
only had 3 months to a year left to live and the grief she endured was
for what she knew her kids would be experiencing and feeling powerless
over that during this time. Her journey revealed her faith, tenacity,
grit, and it also taught her about a different kind of grief that she
had never experienced.
